•Exhibition of trailers and short films has heavily developed over the last 5 years or so. Previously you would have only seen trailers or short films when you went to see a film at the cinema and apart from this you would have only seen regular advertisement posters etc.
•However, since the internet has grown we are now commonly taking advantage of video sharing websites such as YouTube which provide us with a platform for the exhibition of trailers and short films. These video sharing websites also allow visitors to leave comments of opinions
•iTunes also run a Short Film section in their Store which is updated on a monthly basis, this assists the industry in making short films even more accessible to a wider audience.
•Cable television companies have also developed and adapted their services to include short films which are normally used to fill spaces in schedules where they wouldn't be able to fit in a full length film - so widening their audience at the same time as completing their schedules.
•There has also been a development in which technology is now used on billboard advertisement to convert old paper billboards to "television" screens which can display motion pictures such as trailers and short films.
